  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature (for frosting)
  • 8 cups Domino® Powdered Sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tsp almond extract (for frosting)
  • 35 tbsp heavy whipping cream (for frosting)
  • Salt, to taste (for frosting)
  • Red and blue gel icing color

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. Beat room temperature butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture, alternating with milk until just mixed.
  5. Scoop batter into cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before frosting.
