  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes (low sodium)
  • 4 cups beef broth (low sodium)
  • 2 cups reginetti pasta or broken lasagna noodles
  • Optional: ricotta and parmesan cheese for serving

  2. Stir in minced onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, bay leaf, herbs, black pepper, and red pepper flakes; mix well.
  4. Pour in beef broth and water; bring to boil while stirring occasionally.
  5. Add uncooked pasta; reduce heat to medium and cook uncovered for half the recommended time on the package.
  6. Remove from heat, let sit uncovered for 5 minutes, then discard bay leaf.
