  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp (25 g) granulated white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (112 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (220 g) light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup (116 g) honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp (84 g) unsalted butter
  • 6 oz (170 g) cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup (97 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • pinch of cloves

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to 110°F and combine it with yeast and sugar; let froth.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and spices. Combine foamy yeast mixture with eggs and vanilla; mix into dry ingredients.
  3. Knead dough until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl covered for about 60 minutes.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar and spices.
  5. Roll out dough, spread with filling, roll tightly, slice into pieces, and place in a greased baking dish; let rise again for 60 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F; bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing softened butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and spices.
  8. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.
