  • 4oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 4oz (1/2 cup) heavy cream
  • 23 tsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie dough by creaming butter with sugars, then adding milk, vanilla, flour, salt, and mini chocolate chips.
  2. For the cake batter, cream butter with sugar, add eggs one at a time, then mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk and yogurt. Fold in more mini chocolate chips.
  3. In prepared cake pans, layer half the batter, spoon dollops of cookie dough on top, then pour remaining batter over it. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes.
  4. Make cookie dough buttercream frosting by blending softened butter with powdered sugar, then adding flour, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and more mini chocolate chips.
  5. Create the ganache by heating heavy cream and mixing it into chopped bittersweet chocolate until smooth.
  6. After cooling the cakes completely, assemble with frosting between layers and coat with ganache.
