Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and add remaining butter. Stir in minced garlic, herbs, red pepper flakes (if using), and lemon juice. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Toss the drained linguine into the skillet with the sauce until well coated. Slice the rested chicken and arrange it on top of the pasta before serving.
  5. Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and additional parsley.
