  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
  • 15.5 ounces kidney beans
  • 15.5 ounces chili hot beans
  • 29 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion, green bell pepper, and garlic.
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, sauté the diced vegetables in olive oil for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground beef to the pan, cooking until nearly browned. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of chili powder and continue cooking until fully browned.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to a slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients: beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, onion powder, brown sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
  5. Cook on low for about 4 hours, stirring occasionally for enhanced flavor.
