  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g butter (dough)
  • 25 g butter (filling)
  • 450 g steak
  • Salt and spices (cayenne powder, onion powder, garlic powder)
  • Fresh vegetables (red onion, red bell pepper)
  • Grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey until dissolved.
  2. Add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt; knead for 10–12 minutes until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Divide the risen dough into 16 pieces; shape them into balls and flatten slightly.
  5. Stack two flattened pieces together; dust with semolina and let rise again for another 30 minutes on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Cook each roll in a preheated skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  7. For the filling: Sauté steak with spices in butter and olive oil; add vegetables and melt cheese before assembling into rolls.
