  • 12 oz fettuccine or any preferred pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced, divided)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water; cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat; add chicken pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden brown (6-8 minutes). Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium; melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add half the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Return chicken to coat in sauce.
  4. In another pan, melt remaining butter over medium heat; sauté remaining garlic briefly. Gradually whisk in heavy cream and chicken broth; bring to simmer before adding Parmesan cheese until thickened.
  5. Toss cooked pasta in the creamy sauce; plate with garlic butter chicken on top. Garnish with parsley if desired.
