  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles

  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 minutes. Add garlic and ginger in the last 2 minutes.
  2. Cook your noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet. Stir in brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Add to the beef mixture and simmer until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Toss in the cooked noodles and let sit for another few minutes to absorb flavors.
