  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and ¾ cup water over medium heat. Bring to a low boil.
  2. Whisk together remaining water and corn starch in a bowl; add to the saucepan. Cook until thickened, then stir in orange zest.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat; sauté onion until softened.
  4. Add ground turkey; cook until fully cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  5. Stir in broccoli and carrots; cook until tender. Pour teriyaki sauce over and simmer briefly.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles, or wrap in lettuce leaves.
