  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 oz smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and optional red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add sliced sausage and cook until browned (about 5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, season shrimp with salt and pepper; cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add broccoli florets with a splash of water to the skillet; cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until tender.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour in the prepared sauce and stir well. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve hot over rice or quinoa, garnished with fresh herbs.
