  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add fettuccine or linguine and cook until al dente. Drain, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. In the same pot over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in olive oil until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Then add shrimp; cook until pink (2-3 minutes). Gently fold in crab meat.
  3. Pour in broth and heavy cream; stir well. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add drained pasta to the pot, stirring in Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper; add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
