Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Remove casings from the sausage and add to the pan with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (5–7 minutes).
  2. Meanwhile, bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add orecchiette and cook according to package instructions for al dente.
  3. To the sausage, add garlic and seasonings; cook until fragrant (30–60 seconds). Then stir in broccoli, remaining olive oil, and chicken broth; cook until broccoli is crisp-tender (3–5 minutes).
  4. Add drained pasta to the pan with sausage and broccoli, then stir in Parmesan gradually until well combined.
