  • 1 cup softened butter (for frosting)
  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk dry ingredients together and then mix them alternately with the milk into the wet mixture until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared dish and bake for 40-45 minutes; check doneness with a toothpick.
