Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 pound boneless rib-eye steak (sliced or chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, melt half the butter over medium heat. Sauté the green bell pepper and onion for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Remove veggies from the pan. Add the remaining butter and cook the rib-eye steak seasoned with salt and pepper for another 3–4 minutes until browned.
  3. Combine the cooked veggies with the steak in the pan; stir well.
  4. Place half a slice of cheese in each egg roll wrapper's center, add two to three tablespoons of filling, fold according to package directions, sealing edges with water.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry three to four egg rolls at a time until golden brown (about 3–5 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
