  • 1 (16-ounce) box rotini pasta, cooked and rinsed
  • 34 drops each red & blue liquid food coloring
  • 2 tablespoons water, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 pint (about 10 ounces) of cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (or mozzarella pearls)
  • ¾ cup pepperoni, cut into fourths
  • ½ cup black olives, chopped
  • 1 (16-ounce) bottle of Italian dressing

Instructions

  1. Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and cool.
  2. In Ziploc bags, mix cooked pasta with red and blue food coloring using water. Seal and knead until colored.
  3. Toss the remaining pasta with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. In a large bowl, combine all colored pasta with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, pepperoni, olives, and Italian dressing.
  5. Mix well and chill for at least one hour before serving.
