  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend (for glaze)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 46 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a skillet over medium heat until dark amber, then combine with sugars in a stand mixer.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Combine dry ingredients separately and gradually add to wet mixture.
  4. Chill dough for 10–15 minutes before forming balls and placing them on parchment-lined sheets.
  5. Bake at 350°F for about 12–14 minutes until golden brown and set on top.
  6. Prepare the maple glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and cream until smooth.
  7. Once cooled, dip cookies in glaze or drizzle over the top.
