  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 (28 oz) cans original baked beans
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion in the remaining bacon fat until softened. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine baked beans, cooked bacon, sautéed onions, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard. Mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake uncovered for 1 hour, stirring halfway through.
