  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients accurately.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and water, then sprinkle yeast on top. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  4. Add sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, and egg to the yeast mixture; mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet mixture until a sticky dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl; cover with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf or smaller pieces as desired.
  8. Place shaped dough on parchment-lined baking sheet; cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Brush the top of the loaf with beaten egg mixed with water before baking.
  11. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow cooling before slicing.
