Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux; cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps; cook until thickened (3-4 minutes). Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  6. Reduce heat to low; combine cooked noodles and browned beef into the sauce. Gently fold in sour cream until mixed well.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
