  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles (cooked)
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) sauerkraut (drained)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cans (10.75 oz each) tomato soup
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • Seasonings: garlic powder, dried parsley, salt, pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and seasonings until cooked.
  3. Spread drained sauerkraut evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  4. Layer cooked egg noodles on top followed by the beef mixture.
  5. Whisk together tomato soup and water; pour over the layers.
  6. Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Bake for 30–45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Allow to cool for five minutes before serving.
