  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 28 Oreo cookies
  • 6 oz dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a greased and parchment-lined 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla; mix well. Gradually mix in flour until just combined and fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan. Layer Oreo cookies on top.
  4. For the brownie topping, melt butter and dark chocolate together until smooth. Stir in granulated sugar and then add eggs one at a time. Mix in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour brownie batter over the Oreos and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let cool before slicing into squares.
